Who we are
(as told by Klaus, obviously)
We are NOT “van life.” We are not curated hammocks, ukuleles at sunset, and influencer slow-motion coffee pours.
What you will get here is something much more dangerous:
Honest Syncro ownership.
You will see what it actually means to live with — and properly appreciate — a piece of late-80s German engineering superiority.
My owner will show you:
How to repair things when they break. (Because sometimes… they do. Shocking.)
The real pros and cons of owning a VW Syncro.
What maintenance actually costs.
Why preventative care matters.
And yes… why checking my engine oil on time is not optional.
(He forgets sometimes. I forgive him. Mostly.)
You will not get fantasy. You will get:
Grease on hands.
Torque specs.
Lessons learned the hard way.
The pride of fixing something yourself.
And the quiet satisfaction of knowing your machine inside and out.
But more importantly… You will see how every memory made inside a Syncro becomes permanent.
Road trips with your significant other (I am not judging).Late-night talks under inside my cabine, while outside a snow storm is slightly shaking my metalic body, caused by high wind gusts pushing against my beautiful high profile. Maybe, kids laughing in the back seat. Beach sand you will never fully vacuum out. These moments do not disappear.
They live in the metal.
They live in the scratches.
They live in the stories.
And you will hear those stories… From me and not my owner.
There is nothing wrong with him.He is loyal. He tries hard.He occasionally forgets my oil level.
But let us be honest… I am the better storyteller. This is T.A.P. Hawaii and Klaus the 1988 VW Transporter FEUERWEHR. Not just adventure. Not just ownership. It is the ongoing relationship between human and machine, with a little of my sarcasm, little German pride, and a lot of miles ahead.
Willkommen to the journey and making Syncro memories.
